The SB-450 “Star Bird” heavy fighter was designed by Sehda Buildworks, a small ship design and construction firm based on Roon. The Star Bird was designed specifically to be provided exclusively to the Rebel Alliance.

The Star Bird’s aerodynamics make it equally at home in atmosphere or in vacuum. The nose-mounted weaponry is normally operated by the ship’s co-pilot, or by the pilot in a pinch. The primary weapon is the twin heavy laser cannon mounted in the nose. To the starboard of this cannon is a proton torpedo launcher, and to the port is a light ion cannon. A long neck connects the command module to the engineering section. Atop the aft segment sits a twin medium laser cannon in a ball turret that can double as an escape pod.

Perhaps the Star Bird’s most unique feature is the pair of custom Interceptors that dock on the ends of the wings. These Interceptors can be piloted remotely from stations in the cockpit or directly by way of integrated autopilot and gunnery droid brains.
