During the mission to the Corellian Princess, Eri’anya met a contact who was able to use the information carved into the Casket of Crysium to determine coordinates of some sort of clue that would help lead to the legendary Crysium treasure. Unfortunately, the coordinates indicated a world that had been removed from all official records, and was under the highest level of Imperial quarantine. Recognizing that she couldn’t get there on her own, she recruited the rest of the Lightspeed Vagabond crew, offering them a cut of the treasure.
Arriving at the planet, the team found it blockaded by use of Imperial quarantine enforcement satellites. Trying to slip past the satellites, the Vagabond was damaged, with Jaindo managing to steer the ship to a crash landing within the vicinity of the location Eri’anya had indicated. During their descent, they saw the hulk of a crashed Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Its transponder, while weak, identified it as the Vector.
Jaindo remained behind on the Vagabond, while the rest of the crew began making the long journey to the location of Eri’s coordinates. Once in the streets, they found themselves beset by what appeared to be reanimated corpses. Fighting them off, the crew found a small group of survivors. The survivors told them that, after the Star Destroyer’s crash, a virus of some kind Telling the survivors that they would return for them, the crew continued on.
Far outside the city, the team located a hidden mountainside vault. Entering the antechamber, they found the vault door guarded by two droids. The droids challenged them, but Eri’anya was able to spoof their programming and be identified as a descendant of Crysium. The vault opened and inside they found an ancient design astromech in need of extensive repair, but mostly preserved by the sealed vault. As they began to leave, the antechamber was swarmed by the undead. Kab took the lead, igniting a lightsaber and revealing for the first time that he was once a Jedi.
The group fought through the throng of undead. Finding a nearby ship repair yard, they found an H-type Nubian yacht whose repairs were complete. Flying the H-type back to the Vagabond, they found their ship under assault by a wave of undead. Jaindo left the ship, distracting the undead. While she succeeded in drawing them away, she fell and was overwhelmed. The crew took both the Vagabond and H-type, leaving the survivors behind. Their last view of their crewmate was of her being swarmed by undead.
GM NOTES
This adventure was a Halloween adventure, using the zombie virus from the Death Troopers novel. The player for Jaindo was leaving, so this was also a way to write her out, but her exit being ambiguous enough to bring her back if she decided to rejoin.
